Volunteer to Help

Central Coast Heart needs regular transfusions to stay healthy

As demonstrated over the past ten years Central Coast Heart is recognised as a professional and well-run Premier League franchise. Both the Opens and the 23U teams have year on year for ten years achieved admirable results as have the Central Coast Heart Metro League teams.

In 2025 Central Coast Heart established the TaiP program (Talented Athlete Immersion Program) which was extremely successful and as a result enrolments for 2026 have grown substantially. This program recognises emerging athletes and provides quality training and education to support their netball journey. Central Coast Heart is also active in encouraging young athletes with potential, to progress through the Academy of Sport into the Central Coast-Hunter Metro League with a view to ultimately being selected as a participant in our Premier League teams.

To maintain and develop the aims of Central Coast Heart we rely on a few dedicated individual volunteers. Individuals who mostly have full time jobs yet use their spare time to ensure that what you see is what you get.

These individuals spend substantial amounts of their time sourcing and selecting players, coaches, managers, umpires and managing their commitments; establishing and running various player development programs; organising events to provide opportunities for public exposure and involvement with our teams, officials and netball in general; and of course, liaising with Netball NSW on Premier League rules and regulations as well as contributing to the ongoing developments in Premier League netball, an essential part of the franchise arrangement.

The various events that we organise, lunches, dinners, specialist programs etc. generate funds to supplement those provided by our sponsors. These funds cover the cost of the franchise fees to Netball NSW, uniforms for players and officials, equipment, the cost of training venues, honorariums for officials to cover their costs travelling to and from Netball Central, and numerous incidentals that keep our HEART pumping. Our sponsors are a major source of income and we try to give back by way of exposure to their businesses through regular social media and newsletter inclusion.

In an endeavour to maintain and improve relations with our current sponsors and source additional partners we must be progressive. The Board has therefore decided to offer an opportunity for an individual with sufficient background and experience to source sponsorship from a wide range of organizations to join the Board. Although this is a volunteer position, remuneration in the form of a commission arrangement, based on a percentage of the funds generated, would be considered.

If you have such a background or you know of someone who does, then make contact with our secretary at secretary@centralcoastheart.com.au and we can move forward together. Our local high-performance pathway is dependent on it!

Thank you for your consideration.
