Kellyann Huggins
23U's Head Coach

Kellyann Huggins

Kellyann is a former Australian Institute of Sport athlete and State and Underage National representative, bringing a wealth of experience across Representative, Regional, and Netball NSW pathways programs. She is deeply passionate about building confidence, refining fundamentals, and empowering athletes to perform under pressure—qualities that position her strongly as she steps into the role of 23U Head Coach in 2026.

Currently serving as Assistant Coach of the NSW First Nations Netball Team, Kellyann balances her coaching commitments with a demanding career as a part-time detective based in Cessnock, alongside her role as a devoted mum to a three-year-old and a newborn. Whether she’s solving cases, designing attacking strategies, or mentoring emerging athletes, her dedication to community, culture, and coaching is unwavering.

As a proud Gomeroi woman, Kellyann is a passionate advocate for Indigenous athletes. She has a deep understanding of the geographic, financial, cultural, and emotional barriers they may face and is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments where every athlete feels a genuine sense of belonging—because they absolutely do.

Nikkia Humphries

Our 2025 23U Apprentice Coach, Nikkia returns to the high-performance environment in 2026, stepping into the role of 23U Assistant Coach with continued passion and purpose.

Now entering her seventh season within the Academy pathway, Nikkia began her coaching journey on the North Coast and has since gained extensive experience across multiple levels. Her coaching résumé includes State Titles, Academy programs, the Netball NSW Emerging Talent Regional Team, Regional State Cup teams, and Northern NSW programs.

Nikkia’s strong commitment to regional athlete development ensures young players are provided with every opportunity to grow, succeed, and achieve their goals. Her experience, energy, and dedication make her an exciting and valuable addition to the 2026 Heart program.

Dominique Squires

Dominique SQUIRES is back as our 23U Manager after an impressive first year in the high-performance arena. With her extensive background in netball team management, we’re delighted to welcome Dom back for another season. "I’m absolutely thrilled and privileged to be back as Manager for 2026. It’s an honour, and I’m excited to support and work closely with the team as we grow together and focus on delivering positive results." Dom said.
