Amber Cross, Head Coach – Opens
Amber Cross is an Elite accredited coach who brings a steadily building portfolio of coaching experience to the Opens Head Coach role. Her most recent coaching achievements include:
NSW 17&U Head Coach (2019); NNSW Margaret Corbett OAM Coaches Award (2018); NSW 19&U Assistant Coach (2018); NSW Swifts Apprentice Coach (2015); NSW 17&U Assistant Coach (2014/15); NSW ANL Blues Assistant Coach (2014); Netball Australia Targeted Coach (2014); Central Coast Academy of Sport Coach (2009-2013); and Central Coast State League Head Coach (2014/15).
Amber’s vision is to establish a positive high performance training and education environment that challenges, supports and empowers Central Coast Heart athletes to be the very best they can be, whilst also creating a winning team culture built on the Central Coast Heart core values of community, bravery, truth, pathways and knowledge.
Jessica Morgan, Assistant Coach - Opens
Jessica currently teaches PDHPE/HSIE at a High School and she has played the game for 20 years, with her highest achievement being playing for Central Coast in Division 2 of Dooley's State League.
Jessica started coaching after a second torn ACL put her playing aspirations on hold, but thankfully she enjoys the coaching side of netball (almost) as much as playing! Jess is an emerging Advance accredited coach and has coached at club, representative and is currently the Head Coach for the Central Coast Academy of Sport Netball program.
Jess, the 2018 Head Coach for the Heart Metro League Division 2 team, is committed to the pursuit of excellence in her netball education and she is looking forward to 2019 and all it has to offer.
Megan Sharpe, Co-Head Coach – U23's
Megan Sharpe is an Advance accredited coach and has been honing her skills over the last 15 years, starting with coaching her daughters club side and progressing through to being appointed assistant coach of the Central Coast Heart Open’s inaugural Premier League team (2016/17).
Megan's resume includes: Head Coach Central Coast Heart Premier League U20s 2018; Assistant Coach Central Coast State League Div 2 team (2015), Central Coast Academy of Sport co-Head Coach (2009-2013) and Head Coach of various Woy Woy representative teams.
Megan believes in harnessing a team environment that is challenging yet enjoyable and "feels that the most rewarding part of coaching is seeing a group of girls come together to create a team that learns from one another playing a sport they are passionate about.”
Gima Crowdy, Co-Head Coach - U23's
Gima’s recent involvement in coaching, including extensive International Coaching with Vanuatu as Head Coach- Pacific Mini Games 2017; Eastwood Ryde NA as Head Coach-ML Div.1 2017; Central Coast Academy of Sports Head Coach - 2014/2016; PNG Assistant Coach - Pacific Games 2015; PNG Head Coach - U20's; World Youth Cup Cook Islands and various State League programs.
An emerging Elite accredited coach and Assistant Coach to the Central Coast Hearts Championship Open team 2018, Gima’s involvement will be based around the culture as developed by the team and “I will support the team to meet the goals set by the high-performance program. I have progressed steadily and consistently through the Netball Australia coach development program and I am committed to continual self-improvement”.
Tracy Gardiner - Head Coach Metro League Team 1 Division 2
Tracy, a Intermediate accredited coach, has played at representative level and coached both juniors and seniors at local club, association and school level.
Tracy is committed to the pursuit of excellence by attending numerous elite and high performance workshops and environments.
Tracy objective is "to provide development and improvement to players and teams through the implementation of strategies, direction and skill development. To increase players vision, movement and control, on and off the netball court".
